Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve heard of pet cemeteries. How are “pet friendly” cemeteries different?

A pet-friendly cemetery is where a pet is able to be laid to rest along with their master. This can be through a traditional cemetery plot or in a columbarium through cremation.

Is this just for cats and dogs?

No, any legal pet can be laid to rest in our pet-friendly sections either by burial or cremation.

Will my pet have the same type of burial as me?

Yes, if that is your wish.

Will you have a memorial service for my pet?

Yes, our pet-friendly counselors can assist in making those arrangements as well.

Will the memorial (headstone) include our pet’s name as well as those of my family?

That’s possible, but we have found that the many people prefer having a separate memorial for their pet.

I want to have my pet cremated? What are my options?

Cremains may be buried, stored in a columbarium at one of our two locations, scattered in a favorite spot, or kept at home in a decorative urn.

How much does it cost for a burial plot in the pet-friendly cemetery?

That can depend on the size of your pet and the manner in which a resting place is decided. Prices start at $300.

Do I have to pay for everything up-front?

Dealing with the death of a loved one is stressful enough; that is why we encourage you to pre-plan burial arrangements. It is the most economical way in which to plan and payment plans are available. Payment is required up front for those services needed immediately.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just wait until I need it?

Pre-arrangement is a very popular choice because it guarantees pricing as today’s costs, not years down the road where your costs are unknown.
